My journey started at IE University in Madrid, where I earned my BBA on a scholarship. That experience set the tone for everything that followed: work harder than anyone else, and enjoy the process along the way. My first role was with a motorised water sports company that was drowning in debt. Within three years, I managed to turn it around completely. Alongside that, I started my first company, complementary to theirs, which I later sold to the same owner. Letting go of that business was one of the hardest things I’ve done — everyone congratulates you, but the sense of loss is something no one prepares you for. That’s when I realised my real passion lies in business itself — in building, solving, and growing. Over the past three years, I’ve worked my way up to partner in the family business. A great obstacle here was keeping the family relationship intact, while also showing up as an equal within the company. At such a young age, to be considered an equal with all the legends of the industry, is a great encouragement. Around the same time I was invited to be professor at a business school – this was a lifelong goal, and again, to have achieved it so young, was a major milestone for me that I continue to enjoy. My career has always been marked by ridiculous challenges and almost impossible goals that I become obsessed with, but I know that with each achievement, I am more resilient, and ready to keep going.
