Doctor Honoris Causa

An honorary doctorate conferred on an outstanding contribution.

Conferment of the Doctor Honoris Causa

European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology (EU Global), by virtue of its Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy assesses Formative RPL. When an applicant is looking to have knowledge, skills and competencies assessed for personal or career development, and not for the formal ECTS allocation, or an advanced entry via exemption, EU Global will be able to evaluate and state 100% level assessment. There will not be any credit allocation, but rather a degree clearly stating the MQF Level assessment. For instance, an Honorary Doctorate Causa or a Professional Doctorate may fall under this category.

The title “Doctor Honoris Causa” is an honorary doctorate awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to a specific field, society, or humanity, without completing the usual academic requirements for a doctorate. It recognises outstanding achievements, leadership, or service in areas such as science, arts, philanthropy, or public life.
