Accreditation & Recognitions

European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology (EU Global) is fully recognised Higher Education Institution, License No. 2024-018 by Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) fulfilling the Education Act requirements, Europe. EU Global offer reputed ECTS European Accredited Qualifications. Every course completed at EU Global leads to an ECTS award, which can be claimed for credit transfer in case the student decides to pursue education elsewhere, making EU Global degrees fully recognised globally.

Recognition and equivalency of qualifications outside Malta are subject to the regulations of the respective countries. EU Global assumes no responsibility for the acceptance, recognition, or equivalency of its qualifications in other jurisdictions. Applicants are advised to verify local requirements independently.

Malta Qualification Framework

EU Global offers European ECTS Accredited Bachelors degrees, Masters Degrees and Doctoral Degrees. 
EU Global has successfully attained approval for referencing the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA), making its degrees fully recognised.  EU Global offers Bachelors degrees (Level 6), Masters Degrees (Level 7) and Doctoral Degrees (Level 8). 

Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA)

MFHEA is legislated by the Education Act, Malta, Europe, and EU Global is fully accredited by MFHEA.
The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) is legislated by the revised Education Act, Malta, Europe. The accreditation of educational entities providing accredited or recognised further and/or higher courses is a ​legal requirement as per Subsidiar​y Legislation (SL) 607.03 ‘Further and Higher Education (Licensing, Accreditation and Quality Assurance) Regulations’​.

Erasmus +

European Commission awarded Erasmus Charter For Higher Education (ECHE) Charter to EU Global, Malta
EQF is to make qualifications more readable and understandable across countries and systems as a way to support their recognition. This is important in supporting cross-border mobility of learners and workers, and lifelong learning. EU Global degrees are at EQF level, also equivalent to the UK FHEQ Level.

European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)​

EU Global degrees provides European ECTS credits.
European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology (EU Global) offer degrees with ECTS. ECTS is a central tool in the Bologna Process, which aims to make national education systems more comparable internationally. It helps students to move between countries and to have their academic qualifications and study periods abroad recognised. 

ENIC-NARIC Network

Qualifications recognised straight in 56 countries and equivalency globally.
EU Global degrees are accredited by MFHEA, Malta, which is a member of ENIC-NARIC network. ENIC-NARIC network initiative is a joint initiative of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO. The ENIC-NARIC Networks are the result of an ongoing collaboration between the national information centres on academic recognition of qualifications of in total 56 countries, which are operating under the principles of the Lisbon Recognition Convention (1997).

World Educational Services

EU Global degrees were evaluated positively by WES and globally by many equivalency agencies.

EU Global accreditations are in accordance with EHEA bologna process.
The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) includes 49 member countries—extending beyond the geographical boundaries of Europe. All institutions within the EHEA adopt the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), ensuring a unified framework for course and degree accreditation.

European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology (EU Global) Malta appears in the list of World Educational Services (WES). EU Global in WES list facilitates credential evaluation for further studies and employment in countries such as the United States and Canada.

European Licensed Accreditations

European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology (EU Global) is a Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) accredited Higher Education Institute, which offers ECTS accredited qualifications and aims to promote European Educational Excellence globally. Under Higher Education Institute License No. 2024 – 018, we are authorised to apply for accreditation & offer Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs at Levels 6, 7, and 8 of the Maltese Qualifications Framework (MQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

EU Global is located in Malta, which has been part of the European Union since 2004 and a member of the European Higher Education Area since 2010, the institution offers degrees fully aligned with the ECTS system.

The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), which is partly funded by the European Commission and the European Union, enforces ESG 2015 to enhance the quality of further and higher education. In June 2024, the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), formerly known as the National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) licensed EU Global and accredited its degrees.

European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and Bologna process

EU Global degrees are acknowledged by approximately 57 countries that are obligated by treaty as signatories to the Lisbon Recognition Convention. A comprehensive list of these signatory countries can be accessed on the websites of the United Nations and the Council of Europe.

The ECTS standards, in line with the European Standards and Guidelines 2015 (ESG 2015), are validated by an approved regulatory authority.

European Credit Transfer System

EU Global licence is recognised within the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and facilitates the transferability of higher education credits and degrees across the European Union. Malta, being a member of the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), adheres to these standards. Programs with ECTS accreditation through EU Global are explicitly identified as such. In Europe, as a licensed Higher Education Institution, EU Global can confer bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees with the same recognition as those issued by a “University.”

ENQA is the European Network for ensuring Quality Assurance in Higher Education for all Bologna Process signatory countries.
